Hello and Happy Sunday! It's also Father's Day, so Happy Father's Day to all of you who fill that role. I hope that you have had a fantastic day! To Chet, who for all intents and purposes is my dad, I love you very much and am so amazingly blessed that you are in my life.
These past few days have been a combination of sunny and nice; chilly and windy; and just plain icky with thunderstorms. Really, summer? Really? Where are you? I know that technically you are a few days away but, for the sake of my sanity, can you just act like you're here already? Mother Nature is starting to get on my nerves. Probably mad because I didn't give her a card or present for Mother's Day. Maybe I would have if she'd straighten up just one time. Maybe.
Speaking of cards, my coworker had a birthday and since she is always the one that passes out birthday cards for everyone to sign, I decided that she needed a special card of her own. No store-bought one for her after everything she does for us all. I wanted something special and soothing, as well as something florally (is that a word - it is now) and feminine.
This is what I came up with. It has her personality all over it. She was pleasantly surprised and I was so happy that she liked it. Isn't that what we all hope for - that the person we've made the card for loves that it was made personally for them and not mass-manufactured? I know that's why I do it.
